Services for Handicapped Members

We are investigating Handicapped Services requirements for Nippon2007.  In addition to those in the science fiction community who regularly need handicap access provisions at conventions, people with significant physical limitations may wish to have some support.

©LAConIV The first step is to find out what our members' needs.  To this end, if you have special needs that we should know about please contact us and plan ahead to make your trip even more enjoyable, by emailing us at info@nippon2007.org.

Japan is a place very different from the other locations that have hosted Worldcons.  While this is a good thing, it does mean that unexpected obstacles may appear.  For example, while the Convention Hotels have American style rooms, some other hotels will have Japanese style rooms with tatami and futon, which may not be suitable for someone who usually isn't considered to have special needs.
